Graffiti Vocabulary

  • This strategy is a good strategy to use when the student has an understanding on what the word means. The student draws and gives a definition in their own words with this strategy.

They would take the following steps:

  1. Vocabulary word is drawn using bubble letters
  2. Description of term using own words
  3. At least 3 images representing the term
  4. All white space must be colored in
  • I feel like this strategy would be very good to use because it gives the students a change. They could have fun with it and be creative while still staying on task. This could be used with any subject and any vocabulary list. I even feel like children with special needs would have fun with this activity.
